FestivaLouisiana! benefiting Renew Our Music



The mission of Renew Our Music is to support and rebuild the special music culture of New Orleans, with services for local musicians, Mardi Gras Indians, and Social Aid and Pleasure Club members that range from finding gigs to emergency financial help. The New Orleans culture bearers continue to struggle with the effects of fewer venues, fewer tourists, and fewer music students to sustain their livelihood, four years after Katrina.

Proceeds from our live performance compilation go to support their work.

MerleFest Jams benefiting The Bluegrass Trust Fund

Recordings of memorable MerleFest jams are found only at FestivaLink.net. Sales of these unique releases send regular royalty payments to The Bluegrass Trust Fund, a source for emergency help for bluegrass artists in need. The Fund is administered by the International Bluegrass Music Association, and a separate board.

Quoting from The Fund: “The regular royalty contributions from such projects as MerleFest provide continuing resources for those in our community facing circumstances that threaten health, family, and home. The Trust’s ability to help relies on the generosity of others. We are humbled by the special relationship we have with FestivaLink.net.”

The widget for The Bluegrass Trust Fund offers performances from five different jams. 2009 Jams will be added to the widget when they go live in our store.

Rebel Alliance Jam benefiting Conscious Alliance
“Art That Feeds”

A dedicated staff and teams of volunteers trade custom posters for canned food at fests, and sell posters to raise funds, all to deliver food to the communities most in need in the US, with an emphasis on American Indian reservations.

Thanks to some of their most supportive artists, now music can also feed the hungry.

The Rebel Alliance Jam from YarmonyGrass 2008, anchored by members of String Cheese Incident, is the only Alliance Jam online that directly supports the efforts of this hard-working team.
