Rhythm & Roots Festival
Labor Day Weekend
September 1-3, 2006
Held on the beautiful south shore of Rhode Island at Ninigret Park, Rhythm & Roots is a celebration of Cajun, Zydeco, and the Louisiana musical stew, as well as other infectious roots music. The action moves from the main stage to the dance stage, where the music lasts late into the night.
The anniversary of Katrina was on our minds, as the remnants of Tropical Depression Ernesto brought wind and rain to the festival grounds. Despite - or because of - the weather, the artists, many from Louisiana, played and sang at the top of their form. The festival goers who joined us heard some fantastic music, and you can, too.
